Mobile Wood Grinding Service
Palcon LLC is now offering mobile grinding services! We hold a Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Municipal Waste General Permit for the grinding and receipt of clean wood at our facility. Please feel free to contact us for all of your grinding needs!
- Only clean wood can be accepted for processing, no garbage
- Acceptable materials are: non-pressure treated scrap lumber, unpainted wooden pallets, and warehouse type skids
- Unacceptable materials are: laminated wood, particleboard, pressure treated lumber, and painted wooden pallets. Despite quality control checks of the scrap lumber pile, small amountns of the above listed non-acceptable materials may be contained in the ground wood product. No stumps!

Recycling of Wood Pallets
New wooden pallets are often re-used and then re-conditioned when damage occurs, and put back in service. Eventually however, all pallets come to the end of their life cycle. But these days spent wooden pallets very seldom end up in the local landfill.
With today’s technology broken pallets and other types of used wooden shipping products are processed into viable alternative products such as colored landscaping mulch and media for organic filter sock. Palcon is concerned with the environment and provides a return pallet service for all its customers at minimal costs. Broken and discarded pallets are then recycled right here at our plant for these uses among others. We also offer tipping services for clean wood waste at a nominal fee.
